Prom Fundraising Ideas

It’s PROM TIME! That means it’s time to break out the decorations, formal attire, and some fundraising. Maybe you’re head of the prom committee or need to do some springtime fundraising for a class trip or something, using prom as a basis for your fundraiser can really pay off. Here’s a handy idea that can help boost your spring school fundraising:

ASK ME TO PROM ROSES

  1. Download our printable sheet here of “will you go to prom with me” cards.
  2. Print out and cut apart cards (6 cards per 8.5×11 sheet so you have no waste!). You can use any color paper but if you have card stock or a thicker paper your cards will hold up better.
  3. Hole punch each card in the middle at the top and using ribbon, tie one card onto each rose.  If you choose to, you can punch two holes close to each other so your card will sit more centered on the candy stick.
  4. The giver can write their potential prom date’s name at the top and sign their name at the bottom on the dotted lines.

Now, you/your group can either pre-tie on all cards and ribbons to the rose or if you have a table setup, leave them loose and only tie them on as they are purchased. This way makes it easier for people to write their names on the cards. If you have a table set up, having pens on hand will also be helpful for purchasers to write their names on the tags.

If you use curling ribbon you can curl the ends of the ribbons after they are tied to add some fun or simply tie it into a classic bow. Use your school colors, prom colors or just a bright and fun variety! Either way, your fundraiser is sure to be the hit of the school and not only bring in money for your cause but also spread some prom cheer!
