Prom Fundraising

Roses

It's PROM TIME! That means it's time to break out the decorations, formal attire and some fundraising. Maybe you're head of the prom committee or need to do some spring time fundraising for a class trip or something, using prom as a basis for your fundraiser can really pay off. Here's a handy idea that can help boost your spring school fundraising:

ASK ME TO PROM ROSES
- Download our printable sheet here of "will you go to prom with me" cards.
- Print out and cut apart cards (6 cards per 8.5x11 sheet so you have no waste!). You can use any color paper but if you have card stock or a thicker paper your cards will hold up better.
- Hole punch each card in the middle at the top and using ribbon, tie one card onto each rose.  If you choose to, you can punch two holes close to each other so your card will sit more centered on the candy stick.
- The giver can write their potential prom date's name at the top and sign their name at the bottom on the dotted lines.
Now, you/your group can either pre-tie on all cards and ribbons to the rose or if you have a table setup, leave them loose and only tie them on as they are purchased (this may also make it easier for people to write their names on the cards). If you have a table set up, having pens on hand will also be helpful for purchasers to write their names on the tags.
If you use curling ribbon you can curl the ends of the ribbons after they are tied to add some fun or simply tie it in a classic bow. Use your school colors, prom colors or just a bright and fun variety! Either way, your fundraiser is sure to be the hit of the school and not only bring in money for your cause but also spread some prom cheer!

Easter Fundraising

Ofc_easterroses

If you're planning on a springtime fundraiser, why not coordinate it with the Easter holiday? Matching fundraisers up with holidays are a great way to up potential sales because it provides your buyers with not only a treat, but a treat they can use/give for the holidays.

To help make the best holiday & fundraiser parings, think about what your potential customers might need or something that they might normally pick up at a local store that you could provide to them. Items such as our lollipops or milk chocolate roses are great Easter fundraisers because they're little unique treats people could include in Easter baskets or give as small gifts to those during the holiday. If you have signs attached to your boxes or a table, why not make another sign that says "GREAT FOR" and then make a short bullet point list of ideas to help spark a sale.

Doing holiday fundraisers gets your audience with two key purchasing points:
1. They are helping a great cause - YOURS!
2. Not only are they getting an item in return but can also serve as a gift or item that they would otherwise purchase elsewhere

Fundraising with lollipops

Lollipops

Lollipops are a classic fundraiser for many reasons. They come in a variety of flavors, their selling price is low, they are able to withstand the elements and easy to transport to name just a few. While pretty much any lollipop is good for year round sales, some shapes are better sellers at certain times of the year:

Valentines Day: Sweet Lips, Sour Lips and Sweet Hearts are great sellers. Our brand new Chocolate Rose pops make a great addition to this group and are a twist on the classic lollipop.

Summer Time: Star lollipops can be patriotic and twister pops are a bright and unique compliment to carefree fun.

Autumn Time: Caramel Apple pops bring in the tastes of fall - reminiscent of apple picking, warm cider and sweet pie

Not to be left behind, Blow Pop Fundraisers are a name brand head turner that are two treats in one (sucker on the outside, gum on the inside) and we're stocked with new Bursting Berry flavors.

Displaying your lollis can be an important thing to consider in your sales too. All of our pops come to you, individually wrapped. The hearts, lips and sour mania come separated into two carrying bags of 40 per case. The twisters, caramel apple and Blow Pops come in boxes, but if you would like carrying bags for these simply request them at your time of purchase. This way you can easily distribute them to your participants and it is easy for them to sell out of. However, if you have more of a stationary setup like a table at an event, then you might want to consider a more organized approach. For our stick candy we do sell coordinating display racks and jars with labels to easily distinguish to your audience the flavors you have. For standard stick lollipops we sell the classic lollipop tree for you to fill. But you may want to choose a more unconventional approach for display depending upon your group and where you are selling. For example, you may want to take small sheets of styrofoam and wrap them in a coordinating paper for your event (sports, holiday, etc) and place the pop sticks in the top of the sheet for a fun and festive display.

No matter which lollipop fundraiser you go with or how you display them, pops remain a fundraising staple that don't disappoint in sales or variety. You can view our entire line of lollipops here
